FAQs about our transition
The transition was initiated by the conclusion of the long-standing public–private partnership established through the EEO Trust in 1992. With the government’s withdrawal from this partnership, the governance model of Diversity Works New Zealand became unsustainable and required a structural reset.
This presented us with a timely opportunity to evolve into a new entity with deeper cultural alignment and a clearer vision for our future role.
Te Uru Tāngata reflects that vision. It signals our broader commitment to fairness, connectedness, and cultural responsiveness and strengthens our ability to lead workplace inclusion in Aotearoa for decades to come.
Your existing membership has automatically transferred to Te Uru Tāngata Centre for Workplace Inclusion.
There’s no need to reapply and all your membership details, including your renewal month and history of engagement, remain intact. Your membership continues seamlessly under the new entity.
No immediate action is required.
